The 7th annual charity event will raise money for veteran retreat homes and suicide prevention training
January 28, 2021
V-Soft Cares, the philanthropic arm of V-Soft Consulting, will host its annual charity golf scramble on June 28th, 2021 at the legendary Valhalla Golf Club.
The event will benefit Warrior Battalion, an organization committed to ending veteran suicide. Founder Troy Yocum has made it his mission to support struggling veterans and their families after losing his WWII veteran grandfather to suicide. The organization is focused on providing such resources as retreat centers, peer mentor programs and seminars.
“We are excited to be able to provide support for this very deserving group in our community,” said V-Soft President, Purna Veer. “I know many in our V-Soft family who have their own family or friends serving, or they themselves have served in the past. We are honored to help support the Warrior Battalion mission.”
The annual event, which began in 2014, aims to benefit a different local charity each year. Previous scrambles were focused on cancer-related causes to honor Founder Purna Veer’s late mother. However, this year’s charity recipient is the first to support veterans. Since its inception, the V-Soft Cares Annual Charity Gold Scramble has donated more than $105,000 to its charity partners.
V-Soft is currently looking for sponsors and players for the event. If businesses or individuals are interested in sponsoring or playing to support this inspiring cause, visit www.vsoftcares.org for more information.
